Te Kōtuku Hauora is the primary health and social service provider under Te Rūnanga o Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa providing support and services throughout the Southern Rangitikei, based at Te Poho o Tuariki.
Te Kōtuku Hauora provide a Te Ao Māori approach to health and wellbeing. Our purpose is to engage with whānau and community to empower and enhance their overall wellbeing.

Te Rau o Te Huia
Kaupapa Māori Mental Health
Te Rau o Te Huia is a Kaupapa Māori Mental Health & Addictions Service designed to utilise alternative methods of care for Tangata whaiora (a person seeking wellness) and whānau experiencing emotional distress.
RATONGA MAHI

Te Rau o te Huia aims to walk alongside Tangata whaiora in a mana enhancing way, using methods uniquely authentic to Māori.

Provision of and access to support services for Tangata whaiora and whānau with a Te Ao Māori approach.

A personal needs assessment will determine a plan of care. The care plan is inclusive of the aspirations of the Tangata whaiora or whānau.

Referral process to internal or external health and social services.

Advocacy support to ensure you are receiving the best care possible and making informed decisions.

He Puna Ora
Pregnancy and Parenting Programme
He Puna Ora provide an all inclusive service to support our māmā, Pāpā and whānau with pēpi under the age of 3 years old.

Ngā Ringa Taurima
Social Services
Social service is a Kaupapa Māori lead service to support whānau in and around the southern Rangitīkei region. It provides support for behaviour modification to address the needs of whānau at risk of breakdown as a result of crisis or change.
RATONGA MAHI
Our social workers aim to walk alongside whānau within a whānau ora/whānau centred approach, ensuring that the mana remains with whānau at all times.

Huarahi Oranga
Kaupapa Māori Mental Health and Addictions
Huarahi Oranga is a clinical Kaupapa Māori Mental Health & Addictions service for Rangatahi, Pakeke and Kaumatua diagnosed with mental unwellness.
